1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign up, we collect your email address and any name you provide. This is used to create and manage your account.

Market Profile

During onboarding, you provide information about your selling location (city, state), venue type, item categories, acquisition method, turnover preference, buyer profile, and experience level. This is the core of how PocketPrice personalizes pricing results for your specific market.

Pricing History

We store your price lookup history, including item descriptions, condition ratings, photos you submit, and the pricing estimates returned. We also store any price corrections you submit, which are used to improve future estimates for your profile.

Payment Information

Subscription payments and top-up purchases are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full payment details. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status to manage your plan.

Technical Data

We collect standard server log data including IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited. This is used for security monitoring and service improvement.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the PocketPrice service.
• To personalize pricing estimates to your specific venue type, region, and buyer profile.
• To improve the accuracy of future pricing estimates based on your corrections and feedback.
• To process payments and manage your subscription or top-up balance.
• To send transactional emails such as receipts and subscription notifications.
• To respond to support requests and account inquiries.
• To monitor for fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following service providers to operate the Service:

• Stripe — Payment processing. When you subscribe or purchase a top-up, your payment information is submitted directly to Stripe and is subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — Database and authentication. Your account data, market profile, and pricing history are stored securely on Supabase infrastructure.
• Anthropic — Pricing analysis. Item descriptions, photos, and your market profile are sent to Anthropic's API to generate pricing estimates. Anthropic processes this data under their API usage policies. We do not share your name or email with Anthropic.

We may also disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of PocketPrice or others.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and pricing history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, payment records may be retained for tax and accounting purposes).

5. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access your data — Your pricing history is visible in the app. Your market profile can be viewed and edited in Account settings.
• Correct your data — Update your market profile or account information at any time in Account settings.
• Delete your account — Request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing support@thepocketprice.com. We will process your request within 30 days.
• Opt out of emails — You may unsubscribe from non-transactional communications using the unsubscribe link in any email.

6. Cookies

PocketPrice uses essential session cookies for authentication and to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or behavioral analytics cookies.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication via Supabase, and payment processing via Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

PocketPrice is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
